In a place with such a majestic name, there has to be a throne: the Silla de la Reina (Queen’s Chair). These rocks eroded by the action of the wind and water are home to one of the most beautiful viewpoints on the Cíes Islands.
It’s worth making the effort to walk up so you can admire the lagoon and Rodas Beach.
Furthermore, before ascending you can see a small grove of Pyrenean oak (Quercus pyrenaica), one of the island’s last strongholds of native arboreal vegetation, which together with other sites has a specific recovery and repopulation programme.
