The O Morrazo Peninsula comprises the municipalities of Cangas (the nearest to us), Moaña and Vilaboa to the south, and Bueu and Marín to the north, the part of the coast we can't see from here.
Cape Home, the closest point to the islands, lies before us, and from there the coastline mellows towards the ria, with sandy areas such as Barra or Nerga. The village of Cangas is sheltered in an inlet, which is why it can’t be seen from this spot. You can see the parish of Darbo, where the famous dance is held on 9 September, with “belles and beaux”. O Morrazo conserves a rich tradition in ancestral dances, and O Hío and Aldán likewise.
